Shipping Dilemmas - If you live out of mainland UK please read!

As some of you have seen we are coming into a new era of shipping regulations regarding legislation and EU Shipping and unfortunately there is currently no way of separating Northern Ireland from the rest of Ireland as regards the legislation.

This means until the EU and UK parliament finally come some resolution on how to do this we have unfortunately had to stop sending goods to Northern Ireland despite us all knowing its part of the UK in shipping regards. THIS INCLUDES OUR EBAY STORE.

Although we meet the legislation regarding safety issues and labelling on our products there are certain hand made items we would have to remove from our website and ebay completely if we were considering shipping to the EU. This is because for any manufacturer or company they need to have a company representative based in the EU that would be the point of contact for any issues with products and a go between for the EU parliament.

As you can appreciate for an individual maker or a small business like ourselves its currently just not possible to have a staff member based in another country.  Although there are companies being set up to do this as a service, the charges are absolutely horrendous and far outweigh the monies we make from shipping to Northern Ireland at this time.

As our small company grows we may consider in the future that it is worth branching into selling within the EU but at this point it is just not feasible for us.

Who knows , they may be able to sort this out but right now everything is up in the air and we'd like to apologise to our overseas customers.

Some good news though, we have been able to extricate the Isle of Man from this mess so we are now offering shipping to this location. You may see some of the shipping prices for the larger items are quite high on the website, that because its a bit hard to figure out the shipping costs at the beginning. We'd like to assure anyone placing an order that excess postage will be refunded if its in excess or you are quite welcome to message us with the items you are thinking of so we can calculate it accurately.
