Light Bulb Ratings Explained

We have found a number of our customers looking a bit disgruntled that their new light bulb box has a big red printed F or E on the front when it comes to energy ratings.

DON'T PANIC! Since the discontinuation of Halogen and fluorescent there's been a reset on the efficiency ratings. Instead of your lightbulb being its old A++++ rating, its basically started again at the bottom. This means that its still as economical as it ever was but also that they expect to be making even MORE economical bulbs in the near future.

We have already started to see new higher rated bulbs start to hit our warehouse but currently we only have GLS WW NON DIMMABLE in the more economical ranges and they cost nearly triple of our regular LED bulbs and we are testing these in our showroom display models to check on the reliability. We will add these to our website however we will continue to stock our regular LED bulbs in store.
